Breedon Group, a leading construction materials company, is seeking a Quarry Supervisor for Freemans Quarry in Bristol. You will support the Quarry Manager with safe and efficient operations, production and extraction planning, and cross‑site collaboration.

The role focuses on safety leadership, risk assessments, and ensuring high standards in planning, administration, and reporting to drive reliable quarry performance.

Qualifications

• Experience in the extractive industry with a focus on safety.
• Strong planning, organisational and reporting skills.
• Ability to write reports and maintain records.
• Ability to work with procurement and budget controls.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety via risk assessments and health & safety inspections, leading by example.
• Perform administrative duties including reports, records, procurement and budget control.
• Plan and organise day-to-day quarry operations to meet targets.
• Oversee production and extraction activities with cross‑department collaboration.

We are currently seeking a Quarry Supervisor to join the team.

The primary duty for this role will be to support the Quarry Manager with the safe and efficient management and operation of the Quarry.

You will support the management of production and extraction activities, troubleshooting technical problems and overseeing planning of day-to-day operations in conjunction with other departments across site.

Key Responsibilities

• Safety will comprise a key element of the role. You will also be required to conduct risk assessments and health and safety inspections and to demonstrate leadership in safety.
• An important element of the role will involve administrative duties, from writing reports and updating records to procurement and budget control.
• An ability to plan and organise work in a time efficient fashion is critical.
• The ideal candidate will have background in the extractive industry, be familiar with the extractive process with a strong focus on safety and interpersonal skills.
