Line Up Aviation is recruiting for a hydraulics Technician on behalf of a leading aerospace tooling support client. The role is based in Slough/Poyle and is a permanent, full-time position.

You will maintain and troubleshoot hydraulic systems used on aircraft tooling, engine stands and ground support equipment, ensuring safe and reliable operation in daily maintenance tasks.

Competenze

• Proven experience in engineering or maintenance, preferably in aviation or heavy mechanical equipment.
• Knowledge of hydraulic systems and troubleshooting techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.
• Strong problem solving and attention to detail.
• Familiarity with airline tooling and ground support equipment is a plus.
• Engineering qualification or trade certification and technical diploma/degree in mechanics.
• Clear DBS check and airside security pass requirements.

Job Title: Technician (hydraulics)

Location: Slough/Poyle.

Contract Type: Permanent, Fulltime.

Package: Competitive Mon-Fri 07:30am to 4pm. Overtime when available.

Key Duties

• We are seeking a skilled technician to maintain, troubleshoot, and improve hydraulic systems for airline tooling, including aircraft engine stands and ground support equipment. The role ensures the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of hydraulic tooling critical to aircraft maintenance operations.

Principal skills, knowledge and Qualifications Required

• Proven experience in engineering or maintenance, preferably in aviation or heavy mechanical equipment.
• Knowledge of hydraulic systems, and troubleshooting techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Preferably, familiarity with airline tooling and ground support equipment.
• Relevant engineering qualification or trade certification.
• Technical diploma or degree in mechanics (automotive, motorcycle, heavy vehicles, agricultural machinery, industrial mechanics, or equivalent).
• Must be able to obtain an airside security pass and clear a DBS check, 5-year checkable work history.
