Job summary

AutoSkills (United Kingdom) is seeking an experienced Vehicle Technician/Mechanic for a modern Romford dealership workshop. The role offers a base salary of £33,600 with an OTE of £49,645 and genuine career progression opportunities.

You will service, maintain and diagnose vehicles using the latest manufacturer equipment, with training provided to develop your skills and achieve high customer satisfaction. A full UK driving licence is required.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair is essential.
• Strong servicing, maintenance and diagnostic skills are required.
• Excellent communication skills and a professional attitude are important.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing, maintenance and repair work efficiently.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using manufacturer equipment.
• Complete vehicle health checks per manufacturer processes.
• Carry out warranty repairs to required standards.
• Maintain high levels of technical knowledge and workmanship.
• Accurately complete workshop documentation and job cards.
• Work toward productivity targets while maintaining quality.

The Role

As a Vehicle Technician / Vehicle Mechanic, you'll be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of servicing, diagnostics and repairs while ensuring excellent customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities include:

• Carrying out servicing, maintenance and repair work efficiently
• Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults using manufacturer diagnostic equipment
• Completing vehicle health checks in line with manufacturer processes
• Carrying out manufacturer warranty repairs to required standards
• Maintaining the highest levels of technical knowledge and workmanship
• Accurately completing workshop documentation and job cards
• Working towards productivity and efficiency targets while maintaining quality standards

About You

• NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair is essential
• Previous experience as a Vehicle Technician / Vehicle Mechanic / Automotive Technician / Car Mechanic / Motor Vehicle Technician
• Strong servicing, maintenance and diagnostic skills
• MOT Tester Licence advantageous but not essential
• Previous main dealer experience beneficial but not essential
• Full UK Driving Licence required
• Excellent communication skills with a positive and professional attitude
