Job summary

Autoskills-Uk in North Norfolk is seeking an experienced Vehicle Technician for a full-time, permanent role. You will diagnose, service, maintain and repair vehicles to manufacturer standards in a modern workshop with the latest diagnostic technology, working Monday to Friday.

The role requires NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair, and prior experience as a Vehicle Technician or Automotive Technician. MOT testing is desirable and a valid UK driving licence is essential.

Qualifications

  • NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair required or equivalent.
  • Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician, Vehicle Mechanic or Automotive Technician.
  • Strong diagnostic and fault-finding abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults to manufacturer standards.
  • Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs efficiently.
  • Complete work in line with manufacturer standards and complete job cards/documents accurately.
  • Work collaboratively with workshop team to deliver high quality service.
  • Deliver a fix-it-right-first-time approach on every vehicle.

Location: North Norfolk

Salary: Up to £34,000 DoE OTE £40,000

Hours: Monday to Friday 8:30am - 5:00pm

The Role

As a Vehicle Technician, you'll be responsible for carrying out servicing, maintenance, diagnostics and repairs to manufacturer standards while delivering exceptional customer service.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical faults
  • Carrying out servicing, maintenance and repairs efficiently
  • Completing work in line with manufacturer standards
  • Identifying worn or defective components and reporting findings
  • Completing job cards and workshop documentation accurately
  • Working collaboratively with the workshop team
  • Delivering a "fix it right first time" approach to every vehicle
About You

We're looking for someone with:

  • NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair
  • Previous experience as a Vehicle Technician, Vehicle Mechanic or Automotive Technician
  • Strong diagnostic and fault‑finding abilities
  • MOT Tester Licence desirable
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Excellent attention to detail and pride in your workmanship
  • A positive attitude and the ability to work well within a team
