Job summary

Auto Skills UK is seeking a Vehicle Technician in Ayr to service, diagnose and repair Audi vehicles. You will work to manufacturer standards, carry out health checks and complete job cards, with a focus on first‑time fix quality.

The successful candidate will have City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, a full UK driving licence, and proven experience in automotive servicing and diagnostics.

Qualifications

  • City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
  • Previous experience as a Vehicle Technician in the automotive industry.
  • Strong servicing, maintenance and diagnostic skills.
  • Commitment to delivering high‑quality workmanship.
  • Positive attitude and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Full UK manual driving licence.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out servicing, maintenance, diagnosis and repair of Audi vehicles.
  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical and electronic faults.
  • Complete repairs efficiently to manufacturer standards.
  • Carry out vehicle health checks and identify additional work required.
  • Ensure all work complies with manufacturer guidelines and health & safety regulations.
  • Accurately complete job cards and workshop documentation.
  • Work collaboratively with the workshop team to maximise efficiency and productivity.
  • Deliver exceptional workmanship and first‑time fix quality.

Vehicle Technician

Location: Ayr

Offer: £39,155 – £56,656 OTE annually (dependent on experience and qualification level)

Hours: Flexible working available – 40 hours per week (Monday‑Friday, 8:30 am – 5:00 pm) with one Saturday per week (8:30 am – 12:30 pm), or a fixed 4‑Day working week (Monday‑Thursday or Tuesday‑Friday, 42 hours).

Type: Full‑time, Permanent

The role

As a Vehicle Technician you will:

  • Carry out servicing, maintenance, diagnosis and repair of Audi vehicles

  • Positive attitude and ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Full UK manual driving licence
