eProductivity Software is looking for a Technical Writer to join our team.

This person will contribute to the development and maintenance of written technical product information to improve the implementation, maintenance, and use of the products. They will also provide technical writing support for other groups within the organization.

This position will be based in the UK and is part of a documentation team located across the world. Please provide a portfolio of work samples.

Remote Role

Primary duties & responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain product-related documentation by gathering information from subject-matter experts.
• Adhere to guidelines, directions, and deadlines established by the project lead and defined by the release schedule. Documentation may include:
• User Guides
• Release Notes
• Integration Guides
• WebHelp
• Videos

Leadership and collaboration:

• Work with Technical Writers, Consultants, Product Managers, Business Analysts, Support Teams, and Professional Services.

Qualifications and experience:

• BA/BS degree with a focus on Technical Communications, English, Education, or Training preferred.
• 5-7 years of technical writing experience for software products.
• Experience in the packaging or printing industry is preferred; familiarity with manufacturing and ERP systems is advantageous.
• Knowledge of CSS and Help Output Configuration is preferred but not required.
• Experience following style guides and standards.
• Ability to work independently within provided guidelines.
• Experience working with Agile/Scrum teams is a plus.
• Skilled in planning, structuring, and writing user guides and help systems with minimal guidance in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication, writing, editing, and project management skills.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to learn and work with unfamiliar tools.
• Attention to detail and ability to multitask.

Technology and tools:

• Microsoft Office 365
• RoboHelp or similar authoring tools
• GitHub or similar version control system (preferred but not required)
• Enjoyhint or similar overlay interactive tutorial software (preferred but not required)
• Camtasia or video editing software (preferred but not required)
