Job summary

Electronic Arts is seeking a Technical UI Designer to create UI content for EA Sports FC, collaborating with designers, programmers and artists to develop features in the Frostbite engine.

You will work with a team to structure and implement UI layouts, menus, animations, HUDs, and more, across features that enhance accessibility and player experience. A strong emphasis on collaboration and rapid prototyping is required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional game development experience working with game engines.
• Implemented UI screens, widgets, logic, and data flows in collaboration with other game disciplines.
• Experience in rapid prototyping to test concepts from start to finish.
• Experience polishing features to AAA quality and maintaining them throughout the production cycle.
• Bonus: experience with other UI systems such as Unity UI, Unreal UI, ImGui, WPF, or Qt.

Responsibilities

• Structure, plan, estimate, and implement UI features aligned with game goals, accessibility, and technical standards.
• Collaborate with engineers, scripters, UX designers, and UI artists to implement UI layouts, menus, animations, HUDs, and more.
• Use visual programming language to implement UI logic.
• Improve implementations based on feedback, design requirements, art, and direction.
• Report to technical directors and project managers.
• Maintain a collaborative and inclusive attitude.
