Job summary

McCain Foods in Whittlesey is seeking a Technical Trainer to lead mandatory and compliance training across the UK sites, including inductions and refresher courses. You will partner with plant management, develop training materials, and drive standard work and SOP adoption.

Qualifications

• A technical training qualification
• A recognised training qualification or certified trainer status
• Familiarity with Standard Work Methods (SWMs) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
• Facilitation and training design experience and strong computer skills
• Experience of relevant Production Processes
• Ability to evaluate training outcomes
• Ability to prioritise and manage your own workload
• Knowledge of Manufacturing best practice
• Knowledge of Health & Safety and Food Safety best practice

Responsibilities

• Partner with plant management to ensure training accountabilities and learning standards are met.
• Deliver plant onboarding, annual refresher, and other compliance training, involving SMEs where needed.
• Develop, align, and continuously improve training materials and delivery standards across the region.
• Evaluate training effectiveness against objectives and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Support audits with accurate training records and documentation.
• Assist with standard work methods and SOP development and version control.
• Build capability of team leaders and technical specialists to deliver training.
• Identify training needs and support self-paced and online learning.
• Contribute to training and production projects with findings and recommendations.
