Job summary

Reed Specialist Recruitment is seeking a Technical Surveyor to inspect properties, diagnose damp and structural issues, and oversee repairs across a diverse residential portfolio.

You will produce technical reports, specifications and cost estimates, while ensuring contracts meet quality, safety and compliance standards. A degree in a construction field and strong MS Office skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Degree-level education or relevant construction qualification.
• Strong damp and mould management knowledge.
• Understanding of housing maintenance regulations and compliance.
• Experience preparing specifications and schedules of work.
• Strong budget management and commercial awareness.
• Knowledge of health, safety and environmental legislation.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.

Responsibilities

• Inspect properties to diagnose damp, mould, condensation and structural defects.
• Produce reports, specifications, schedules of work, drawings, and cost estimates.
• Monitor repair contracts for quality, compliance and value for money.
• Provide design, construction, maintenance and repair guidance.
• Ensure works meet legislation and health and safety requirements.
• Maintain accurate property and asset data.
• Collaborate with internal teams, contractors, consultants, and customers.
