Job summary

Stewart Johnson Partners Limited is seeking an experienced Technical Surveyor for a nationwide role centred on delivering and installing high-value medical and technical equipment. You will survey sites, assess access routes, and produce RAMS to ensure safe, practical delivery solutions across the UK.

The role requires extensive travel Monday to Friday, strong RAMS experience, and clear communication with customers and internal teams. A full UK driving licence is essential.

Qualifications

• Previous surveying experience is essential.
• RAMS preparation and review/sign-off experience required.
• Ability to translate survey findings into practical delivery/installation method.
• Knowledge of health and safety legislation.
• Understanding of safe systems of work and site-risk management.
• Excellent writing and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accurate record-keeping.

Responsibilities

• Attend customer sites and installation meetings as required.
• Carry out detailed site surveys to establish safe delivery and installation solutions.
• Assess access routes, dimensions, weights and equipment-movement requirements.
• Produce RAMS for each surveyed project.
• Sign off on third-party RAMS and record on registers.
• Brief installation crews ahead of complex deliveries.
• Conduct site audits of work completed by teams.
• Ensure adherence to health and safety legislation on site.
