Job summary

Stewart Johnson Partners Limited is seeking a Technical Surveyor in Ashford, UK, to conduct site surveys, assess delivery and installation requirements, and produce RAMS documentation for high-value equipment installations.

The role involves extensive travel across the UK, including overnight stays, with a basic salary of £35,000 plus overtime and typical annual earnings around £45,000. You will collaborate with installation and technical teams to ensure safe, compliant delivery and installation.

Qualifications

• Previous surveying or surveyance experience is essential.
• Experience producing Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS).
• Experience reviewing and signing off third-party RAMS.

Responsibilities

• Attending customer sites and installation meetings as required.
• Carrying out detailed site surveys to establish safe delivery and installation solutions.
• Assessing access routes, dimensions, weights and equipment-movement requirements.
• Producing detailed RAMS for each surveyed project.
• Ensuring all surveyed work is completed in line with the agreed method.
• Delivering briefings to installation crews ahead of complex deliveries and installations.
• Carrying out site audits of work completed by installation crews.
