Job summary

e.surv Chartered Surveyors, part of the LSL Property Services Group PLC, is recruiting a Technical Surveying Manager for a 6-month FTC based in the Kettering office. The role suits an AssocRICS, MRICS or FRICS surveyor seeking a new opportunity and exposure to lender clients.

You will lead technical guidance, interact with lenders, operations and risk teams, and contribute to policy compliance, data analysis, and reporting. Occasional national travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Detailed knowledge of RICS Red Book requirements.
• Knowledge of current trends in residential surveying and valuation.
• Be prepared to travel and engage within forums.
• Ability to interpret Management Information and work with internal IT systems; understanding of MS Excel and property data.
• Proven practical expertise in completing valuation and survey instructions.

We're part of the LSL Property Services Group PLC, which includes household names Your Move and Reeds Rains as well as the mortgage network PRIMIS. We work with lenders, intermediaries, social housing entities and estate agents in addition to private customers.

We are now recruiting for Technical Surveying Managers. The role would suit an experienced AssocRICS, MRICS or FRICS surveyor looking for a new opportunity.

The successful individual will interact with lenders, operations, the wider risk, and audit team and provide technical guidance to our external clients. The role would suit an experienced AssocRICS, MRICS or FRICS surveyor looking for an opportunity to experience how the technical teams operate and offers a chance to be the technical face of e.surv for our lender clients.

This is a 6 month FTC.

Occasional national travel may be required with presence in the Kettering Office to suit business needs.

Main Accountabilities

• Maintain and enhance e.surv’s outward facing contact for lenders.
• Attend lender meetings.
• Deliver regular presentations at lender and regional conferences.
• Supporting lender clients with technical guidance and their individual policy requirements.
• Monitor and react to industry news/policy changes.
• Contribute to articles and analysis of industry press on a range of issues affecting the sector including detailed analysis on key aspects of the housing market.
• Create and issue regular guidance to external clients.
• Support Strategic Relationship Managers as requested.
• Support testing of new workflows, mapping, and new technologies.
• Answer technical queries within SLA agreement.
• Support Learning and Development in creating learning material for lender compliance.
• Have an understanding of Audit & Quality compliance.
• Input on contract renewals/tenders.
• Support internal risk reports and dashboards used across the business.
• Become a Subject Matter Expert for your allocated lenders.
• Contribute to quarter end, month end and key milestone reporting.
• Use analytical skills to interpret and analyse data, identify trends, and generate actionable recommendations to inform and guide strategic decisions to management.
• Work closely with Customer Care to mitigate against and reflect on indemnity claims and the Post Valuation Query team to reduce the number of queries into the business.

Knowledge and Expertise

Essential

• Detailed knowledge of RICS “Red Book” requirements.
• Knowledge of current trends and emerging issues in the residential surveying and valuation sector.
• Be prepared to travel and engage within forums.
• The ability to interpret Management Information and work with internal IT systems. Understanding of MS Excel and the value of property data.
• Proven practical expertise in completing a wide range of valuation and survey instructions.

Desirable

• Minimum of 5 years experience in residential surveying and valuation market.
• Understanding of the end to end mortgage origination process.

Qualifications

• Minimum AssocRICS / MRICS / FRICS.
