Job summary

e.surv Chartered Surveyors is seeking a Data Manager for a hybrid role based in Kettering, UK. The role focuses on hands-on data management and commercial oversight of data suppliers, SaaS platforms, and licensing arrangements to ensure secure, accurate, and accessible enterprise data across the organisation.

You will oversee ETL processes, data integration pipelines, data governance, and data security while coordinating with technical and business stakeholders to optimise reporting and data

The opportunity

Trading since 1989, e.surv Chartered Surveyors is the UK's number one residential surveyor and the largest provider of property risk expertise and residential surveying services. To put it into numbers, we complete more than one property inspection every 12 seconds and employ over 600 surveyors from Land’s End to John O’Groats and Northern Ireland. Role Purposes

This is a hybrid role combining hands‑on technical data management with commercial oversight of data suppliers, SaaS platforms, and licensing agreements. The primary objective of the role is to ensure enterprise data is secure, accurate, accessible, and effectively managed across the organisation.

Main Accountabilities

Knowledge and Expertise

Essential:

• Strong experience in data management or data operations
• Hands‑on experience with ETL and data integration tools/workflows
• Strong SQL skills and confidence working with large datasets
• Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS
• Experience working within Azure cloud environments
• Knowledge of data warehousing, APIs, and enterprise system integrations
• Experience troubleshooting data, integration, and reporting issues
• Understanding of data governance, GDPR, and data security principles
• Experience with enterprise reporting platforms and reporting tools
• Vendor management and SaaS contract management experience
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
• Ability to work across both technical and non‑technical teams
