Technical Service Supervisor
As an experienced Engineer, this is a unique opportunity to take the first step into a management role. Our client is offering this opportunity. The role will include:
Purpose of the Role
The Smoke Control Department is a pivotal role focused on driving the growth and success of the Fire division. This includes providing technical expertise, supporting new enquiries and customers, and identifying opportunities to expand the business through cross-selling and strategic engagement with existing and prospective clients. The role also encompasses delivering high-quality service through project management, quoting, and ensuring safety standards compliance. AOV understanding is a must-have.
Key areas:
- Business Development
- Act as the primary technical support for new enquiries and potential customers.
- Proactively identify and engage with clients not currently using smoke control services, presenting tailored solutions.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to encourage cross-selling opportunities.
- Conduct market research to identify growth opportunities within the sector.
- Enquiry Handling and Quoting
- Manage incoming enquiries related to smoke control systems.
- Conduct site surveys to assess project requirements and develop accurate quotations.
- Prepare detailed proposals for remedial works during planned maintenance.
- Project Management and Delivery
- Ensure projects are delivered to high standards, meeting client expectations and company goals.
- Coordinate with internal teams and subcontractors for timely execution.
- Monitor progress and address issues or delays promptly.
- Compliance and Documentation
- Ensure all RAMS are uploaded and assigned correctly.
- Maintain health and safety and company policy compliance.
- Oversee quality assurance to meet standards.
- Client and Stakeholder Communication
- Serve as the main contact for smoke control enquiries and projects.
- Provide technical advice and support throughout projects.
- Communicate clearly with internal and external stakeholders.
- Reporting and Analysis
- Track and report division performance metrics.
- Provide insights and recommendations for strategic decisions.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
- Growth in revenue
- Conversion rate of enquiries to projects
- Cross-selling success rate
- Compliance with RAMS and safety standards
- Customer satisfaction and retention
Working Conditions:
- Initial onboarding and training in the office, followed by onsite meetings and shadowing.
- Hybrid working arrangement: predominantly home-based, with site visits and office attendance 2-3 times a month. Reviews will be held during probation.
