Technical Service Supervisor
As an experienced Engineer, this is a unique opportunity to take the first step into a management role. Our client is offering this opportunity. The role will include:
- Purpose of the Role: Smoke Control Department is pivotal in driving the growth and success of the Fire division. Responsibilities include providing technical expertise, supporting new inquiries and customers, and identifying opportunities for business expansion through cross-selling and strategic engagement with clients. The role also involves delivering high-quality service through project management, quoting, and ensuring safety standards compliance. AOV understanding is essential.
Key areas:
- Business Development
- Act as the primary technical support for new inquiries and potential customers.
- Identify and engage with clients not currently using smoke control services, offering tailored solutions.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to encourage cross-selling.
- Conduct market research to identify growth opportunities within the sector.
- Enquiry Handling and Quoting
- Manage incoming inquiries related to smoke control systems.
- Conduct site surveys and develop accurate, competitive quotations.
- Prepare detailed proposals for remedial works during maintenance activities.
- Project Management and Delivery
- Ensure projects meet high standards, client expectations, and company objectives.
- Coordinate with teams and subcontractors for timely execution.
- Monitor progress and address issues promptly.
- Compliance and Documentation
- Manage RAMS uploads and assignments.
- Maintain health and safety and company policy compliance.
- Oversee quality assurance to meet standards.
- Client and Stakeholder Communication
- Main point of contact for inquiries and projects.
- Provide technical advice and support.
- Communicate clearly with stakeholders.
- Reporting and Analysis
- Track division metrics like revenue, enquiry conversion, customer satisfaction.
- Provide insights for strategic decisions.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
- Revenue growth in smoke control division.
- Inquiry to project conversion rate.
- Cross-selling success rate.
- Compliance with RAMS and safety standards.
- Customer satisfaction and retention.
Working Conditions:
- Onboarding and training in-office for the first week, then onsite shadowing.
- Hybrid work arrangement: home-based with site visits and office visits 2-3 times a month, reviewable at probation.
