Technical Service Supervisor

As an experienced Engineer, this is a unique opportunity to take the first step into a management role. Our client is offering this opportunity. The role will include:

Purpose of the Role

The Smoke Control Department plays a pivotal role in driving the growth and success of the Fire division. This includes providing technical expertise, supporting new enquiries and customers, and identifying opportunities to expand the business through cross-selling and strategic engagement with existing and prospective clients. The role also involves delivering high-quality service through meticulous project management, quoting, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. A good understanding of AOV systems is essential.

Key Areas:

1. Business Development

• Act as the primary technical support for new enquiries and potential customers.
• Identify and engage with clients not currently using smoke control services, offering tailored solutions.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to promote cross-selling.
• Conduct market research to identify growth opportunities within the sector.

2. Enquiry Handling and Quoting

• Manage incoming enquiries related to smoke control systems.
• Conduct site surveys and develop accurate, competitive quotations.
• Prepare proposals for remedial works during planned maintenance.

3. Project Management and Delivery

• Ensure projects meet high standards, client expectations, and company objectives.
• Coordinate with teams and subcontractors for timely execution.
• Monitor progress and address issues promptly.

4. Compliance and Documentation

• Ensure all RAMS are uploaded and correctly assigned.
• Maintain health and safety compliance.
• Oversee quality assurance processes.

5. Client and Stakeholder Communication

• Main contact for smoke control enquiries and projects.
• Provide technical advice throughout projects.
• Communicate clearly with stakeholders.

6. Reporting and Analysis

• Track performance metrics like revenue, enquiry conversion, and customer satisfaction.
• Provide insights for strategic decisions.

Working Conditions

• Onboarding and training in the office for the first week.
