Teaching Vacancies is seeking a specialist technical and learning support professional to ensure equipment, resources and workshops are safe, compliant and industry-standard across East Coast College sites. The role focuses on enabling students with additional needs to access learning, develop independence and achieve goals.

You will work collaboratively with colleagues, employers and external agencies to provide high-quality practical learning support in welding and related technical subjects,

• Industry experience in welding, engineering or related technical field.
• Ability to support and motivate young people with learning difficulties and disabilities.
• Strong employer engagement and networking skills for work placements and employment opportunities.
• Organised and collaborative professional with excellent communication, safeguarding and record-keeping.

What skills and experience we're looking for

Purpose of Role:To provide specialist technical and learning support within practical learning environments, ensuring equipment, resources and workshops are safe, compliant and industry-standard, while enabling students with additional needs to access learning, develop independence and achieve their goals. The role may involve working across all East Coast College sites.

Key needs from you and the role;

• Industry experience in welding, engineering or a related technical field, with a passion for developing students’ vocational, employability and workplace skills.
• Ability to support and motivate young people with learning difficulties and disabilities, helping them build confidence, independence and achieve positive employment outcomes.
• Strong employer engagement and networking skills, with experience developing work placements, supported internships and employment opportunities within the welding sector.
• Organised and collaborative professional with excellent communication skills, committed to safeguarding, student wellbeing, accurate record-keeping and working effectively with colleagues, employers and external agencies.
