Job summary

TRS Consulting is seeking a technically motivated Technical Support Engineer to deliver first-line fixes and guidance for customers using medical diagnostic analysers. The role combines remote support with hands-on escalation to field engineers, in a hybrid work setting.

The successful candidate will come from a service engineering background in high-value capital equipment and will receive comprehensive product training. This position emphasizes customer focus and technical problem-solving.

Qualifications

• Background in service engineering within high-value capital equipment.
• Broad background including medical device, laboratory device, pharmaceutical device, ex-forces engineers (medical & dental, weapons systems, radar) and other electronic/electro-mechanical sectors.
• A qualification in engineering, electronics or a science-based subject to a minimum of ONC level.
• Field service engineers from a broad base of sectors are welcome; full product training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support and first-line fixes via telephone and using connectivity tools.
• Support customers with technical issues on a range of medical diagnostic analysers.
• Guide users through troubleshooting via phone and video calls.
• Escalate unresolved technical issues to the Field Service Engineering team.

Position Overview

Qualifications

• A competent background in a service engineering capacity gained within any high value capital equipment environment
• Applications are encouraged from engineers with a broad range of backgrounds, including laboratory device, medical device, pharmaceutical device, ex forces engineers (medical & dental, weapons systems, radar) and a wide range of other electronic or electro-mechanical from other sectors
• A qualification in engineering, electronics or a science based subject to a minimum of ONC level
• Applicants are welcome from field service engineers from a broad base of sectors, as full and comprehensive product training will be provided
