A leading global investment firm is seeking a highly capable and motivated Technical Support Engineer to join its London office. You will play a key role in supporting a fast-paced, front-office user base, providing hands-on technical support across hardware, applications, and infrastructure. Sitting alongside a highly experienced engineer, you’ll gain exposure to a broad range of enterprise technologies while having a clear runway for progression into engineering, automation, or infrastructure roles.

This role is ideally suited to candidates with 1–3 years of experience in a technical support or sysadmin position—particularly those coming from MSP, banking, or hedge fund environments—who are now looking to deepen their responsibilities and broaden their technical horizons.

What you’ll be doing:

• Acting as the primary point of contact for technology issues within the London office
• Supporting desktop hardware, Windows environments, and core network services
• Collaborating with a global infrastructure team across the US and UK
• Gaining exposure to PowerShell and scripting as part of automation initiatives
• Working closely with business users to deliver high-quality, front-line support

What we’re looking for:

• 1–3 years in an IT support or junior sysadmin role, ideally within a financial or MSP setting
• Solid understanding of Microsoft technologies (Active Directory, Group Policy, Exchange)
• Basic knowledge of networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)
• Some familiarity with PowerShell or Python, or a strong desire to develop automation skills
• A proactive, self-starter mindset with strong communication and problem-solving abilities
• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or related field
