Technical Support Engineer (Eligible for SC Clearance)

Location: Surrey - 4 on, 4 off shifts (days/nights)

This role is ideal for a Technical Support Engineer who takes pride in their work and is eager to work with cutting-edge technology in a dynamic environment.

Established over 50 years ago, this leading intelligence organization operates within a niche area of telecommunications, continuing to thrive and cement its reputation as a well-known provider.

In this important position, you will provide hands-on technical support and manage internal and customer IT infrastructure. Responsibilities include ensuring 24/7 service availability by responding to inquiries, providing 2nd line support, monitoring networks, and resolving technical issues. You will also maintain records, develop technical expertise, improve processes, and support 1st and 2nd line teams.

Ideal candidates will have a technical background, preferably within telecoms/satcoms or maritime settings. Experience with network operations, technical engineering, or relevant satcom equipment/management systems such as Inmarsat Satellite Maritime customer equipment will be advantageous.

The Role:

• Technical Support Engineer
• Manage customer inquiries promptly and efficiently, ensuring expectations and contractual obligations are met or exceeded
• Perform RF troubleshooting, analyze satellite link statistics, and generate network reports for internal and external customers
• Work on a day & night shift pattern (0800-2000 & 2000-0800), 4 days on, 4 days off

The Candidate:

• Previous experience in an IT/Technology role within telecoms/satcoms or maritime industry
• Interest in technology and a desire for continuous self-development
• Eligible for SC clearance
