We are seeking an accomplished Technical Specifications Engineer - Exterior Trims to play a pivotal role in advancing our strategy for Body of Knowledge development.

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Exterior Ornamentation Chapter as a Technical Specifications Engineer – Exterior Trims within the Off-Cycle Squad. We are a dynamic, international, and welcoming Chapter that prioritizes the growth of our people. We pride ourselves on strategic thinking with a clear long-term vision, laying the foundation of our Body of Knowledge.

In this role, you will be responsible for authoring Technical Specifications (Requirements, Standards, Design Rules, Tests, and Procedures), components DFMEAs, Processes, and Templates documentation. You should have the ability to research and evaluate complex information, create clear and concise technical documents, and possess excellent written communication skills with a keen eye for detail. A technical understanding of product design & development of injection moulding components is desirable.

You will collaborate with colleagues across various Chapters and Departments, supporting the programme Lead Engineers to ensure correct understanding and application of the Technical Specifications, sharing technical information, and coaching your Chapter colleagues when needed.

WHAT TO EXPECT

• Support and implement the Chapter’s long-term vision and strategy
• Develop comprehensive Technical Specifications that meet quality standards
• Translate complex technical information into simple, clear documents
• Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts and colleagues to research technical information
• Develop and improve components DFMEAs, Processes, and Templates
• Evaluate current documentation methods and explore improvements

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

• Technical knowledge of injection moulding components: experience with exterior/interior plastic trims or similar components
• Outstanding written communication skills: ability to write clearly and accurately, with authoring experience valued
• Understanding of standards and procedures: familiarity with writing and implementing standards and design rules
• Technical understanding of product design and development of injection-moulding components
• Ability to quickly learn and understand technical subject matter
