Job summary

ARM is seeking a Technical Shopfloor Engineer for a 12 month contract in Broughton. The role operates on alternating shifts (Mornings 6am-1:10pm, Afternoons 1:30pm-8:40pm) with a pay rate of £40.13 per hour Inside IR35.

You will work closely with the production team (APT) to resolve technical issues and drive continuous improvement on the shopfloor. The successful candidate will bring aircraft industry expertise, experience in lineside support, and strong manufacturing engineering capabilities

Responsibilities

• Support the production team and Autonomous Production Team (APT) on the shopfloor.
• Identify, analyse and solve technical issues beyond Operators and FLM scope.
• Provide an end-to-end shopfloor perspective within the production team/APT.
• Enable continuous production by using available resources and knowledge.
• Contribute to Operational Excellence through improvements of processes.
• Assist in identifying non-conformances on the shopfloor.

Alternating Shift Pattern - Mornings 6am-1:10pm, Afternoons 1:30pm-8:40pm

You will be involved in:

• Accompany the production team / Autonomous Production Team (APT)
• Supports in identifying, analysing, and solving technical issues not directly manageable by the Operators & First Line Manager (FLM)
• Provides an E2E perspective at the shopfloor level within the production team / APT
• Supports continuous production enablement by efficiently utilising available resources & knowledge
• Contribute to the Operational Excellence targets within your area by adhering to the continuous improvement of operational processes
• Support in identifying Non-Conformance on the shopfloor

Your skillset & experience:

• In-depth knowledge and hands‑on experience in the aircraft industry
• Previous Lineside role experience where support has been provided, and have demonstrated a reaction to issues in a fast-paced environment
