Job summary

Advanced Resource Managers Ltd in Filton is seeking a Quality Conformance Engineer on a contract basis, initially up to 14/06/2027. The role is based in Filton and offers £31.30ph Inside IR35 for a highly skilled aerospace/defence environment.

You will perform conformance engineering tasks, lead quality improvement projects, analyse KPI trends, work with multi-functional teams, and ensure compliance with environment, health & safety and airworthiness requirements while driving reductions in

Qualifications

• Knowledge of aircraft manufacturing and experience in process improvement.
• Strong communication and report writing skills.
• Experience leading multi-functional teams.
• Proficient IT skills (Excel, Word, Google, etc.) and possibly coding/macros.
• Training in problem-solving techniques and methodology.
• Advanced English and mathematics.

Responsibilities

• Conduct tasks in line with Conformance Engineering principles to reduce Cost of Non-Quality and analyze trends.
• Interrogate quality data sets and provide KPI trend analysis for quality improvements.
• Collaborate with Quality Lineside and cross-functional teams to identify, deploy and report on improvement opportunities.
• Lead Quality Improvement Projects (QIPs) and ensure clear ownership and action resolution.
• Escalate issues affecting quality performance by analyzing KPI trends and mitigating impacts.
• Facilitate implementation and coaching of quality toolsets and processes within manufacturing (e.g., APQP, Error Proofing, Problem Solving).
• Review and monitor operational surveillance to ensure build and quality standards and operator competence.
• Conduct and lead quality investigations into complex/technical issues.
• Coordinate/lead clearance of NAC and plant events; ensure health, safety and airworthiness requirements.

Quality Conformance Engineer

As the Quality Inspector, you will be working alongside a market-leading Defence and Aerospace company who are constantly growing and developing. They are always looking to bring on new talents such as yourself and further develop your skills to enable you to grow within the company and industry.

You will be involved in:

• Conduct tasks in line with Conformance Engineering principles, leading to a reduction in the Cost of Non-Quality by generation of business KPI's and analysis of trends
• Data analytical skills to interrogate Quality data sets and provide trend analysis with emphasis on Quality improvements
• Work alongside the Quality Lineside team, functional teams, and multifunctional teams to identify, deploy and report on Quality Improvement opportunities
• Facilitate/Lead Quality Improvement Projects (QIP) activities to enable clear ownership of topics, improvement opportunities, and action resolution
• Escalation of issues impacting the Quality performance occurring in the business by the analysis of KPI trends to mitigate business impacts
• Facilitate/Lead implementation, application, and coaching of Quality toolsets, processes, and techniques within manufacturing areas to support business requirements (e.g. APQP, Error Proofing, Problem Solving)
• Review, create, and monitor Operational Surveillance, check criteria to ensure consistent build standards, quality standards and operator competence are obtained within the Plant
• Conducting and leading Quality investigations into complex/technical issues from the business and customer
• Facilitate/Lead reduction of Non-allocated Concession (NAC) impacting Plant perimeter Coordinate/Lead clearance of Plant QSR, SARI, and Events
• Ensure Environment, health and safety and airworthiness requirements are achieved

Your skillset may include:

• Have a good knowledge of aircraft manufacturing and previous experience in process improvement
• Communication and report writing skills
• Experience of working with and leading multi-functional teams
• Good level of general IT skills (Including Microsoft Excel, word, google, etc.) and advantagous if able to create coding/macros
• Recognised Training in problem-solving techniques & methodology
• Advanced English and mathematics
• Background in running data, ability to produce graphs using spreadsheets
• Worked in Quality Conformance
• Lineside experience
• Quality inspections
