As part of their continued investment for growth in the UK market, they are now looking to appoint a Technical Services Technologist reporting to the Technical Services Manager, who has the potential to grow and develop within the company.
THE POSITION
Reporting to the Technical Services Manager, as Specifications & Technical Assistant your role has a major influence on the smooth running of the department. As part of the technical team, you will be responsible for the end-to-end process of instigating and managing through the technical product specifications for major customers in B2B food manufacturing and leading grocery multiple retailers, covering such day-to-day tasks as:
This is a pivotal role within the company, requiring a confidence to work independently and as part of a team, customer facing and liaising with internal colleagues in the UK, France and Spain.
ABOUT YOU
Ideally educated to degree level, you have previously been in a technical specifications role, within a food manufacturing company, where you have developed a good understanding in all aspects of managing technical product specifications through for major customers.
Now, you are looking to step up your career with a new challenge, to apply your experience in the exciting and progressive category of food ingredients. You are familiar with the various processes, systems and legal requirements specific to this role, including a working knowledge of HACCP and BRC. Alternatively, you may have just completed a Food Technology/Culinary degree and are looking for your first technical role in the food industry (full training will be provided).
You are an outgoing, friendly ‘people’ person who really enjoys working as part of a small team. You are professional, adaptive to change and new ideas, proactive and work to high standards with strong personal integrity and values. Above all, you have the drive and determination to deliver in this important role, and also to progress into a more senior role in the future.
