Seniority Level: Entry level

Act as a role model for safety, taking personal responsibility for your own safety and acting when unsafe behaviour is observed or reported.

The role involves executing routine tasks (daily/weekly/monthly), effectively operating plant and equipment within Utilities, and performing maintenance to meet production demands while maintaining safety and quality standards. The Operator will coach peers using VPO tools and processes to ensure team results and uphold housekeeping standards.

Accountabilities:

1. Receive handover from the outgoing shift, ensuring logs, checklists, and SAP information are updated. Communicate relevant information to the team and FLM.
2. Prepare for the Utilities Meeting, providing updates on production and issues.
3. Plan shift activities, including ordering chemicals, CO2, and follow-up on PI.
4. Follow chemical delivery processes, update systems, and process paperwork.
5. Maintain accurate SAP, checklist, and log updates for handover.
6. Coordinate with Quality on out-of-spec utilities.
7. Monitor PI trends, identify performance issues, and address them.
8. Oversee Sigma activities, challenging unapproved utility downtime.
9. Ensure completion of VPO processes on time and to standard.
10. Report hazards, record incidents, and assist in investigations; inform FLM immediately.
11. Monitor E&F performance and respond to issues.
12. Maintain Zone Hygiene standards and report achievements.
13. Support breakdown solutions, fault finding, and escalation when needed.
14. Conduct shift handovers with detailed plant status updates.
15. Support operational tasks such as plant adjustments, quality checks, sampling, and waste management.
16. Assist with changeovers, maintenance, and environmental policies.
17. Handle assets responsibly and contribute to SOPs, OPLs, and improvement initiatives.
18. Participate in meetings, training, and compliance with safety and hygiene standards.
19. Support KPI achievement and VPO compliance.
20. Perform additional tasks as directed by management.
