Job description

Technical Services Manager Mechanical (NHS) – Worcester

Based at a large Acute Hospital in Worcester, you will manage and co-ordinate directly employed labour and sub-contractors in reacting to breakdowns and implementing the PPM Systems, providing technical assurance advice for Mechanical systems.

Responsibilities:

  1. Review and develop the quality of service at an operational level.
  2. Control expenditure as delegated by the Contract Manager.
  3. Positively manage relationships with stakeholders and Trust representatives to enhance perception of service provision.
  4. Prepare estimates for new works & lead support as required for projects.
  5. Participate as a member of the Estates Team by achieving Authorised Person (AP) status in various disciplines as required and directed by Senior Management Team.
  6. Participate in the ‘on call’ rota as required, after suitable training and relevant experience is gained.

  7. AP Duties required – Ventilation AP, Medical AP, Pressure Systems AP & Water AP. AP Duties allowance is paid for each allowance/duty. The client will invest and pay for the courses and then pay the AP allowances throughout the year. 4 x AP’s duties = £10,800.

Once courses are complete and you are appointed, you will be paid the allowances.
