Job description

Technical Services Manager Mechanical (NHS) - Worcester

Based at a large Acute Hospital in Worcester, you will manage and co-ordinate directly employed labour and sub-contractors in reacting to breakdowns and implementing the PPM Systems, providing technical assurance advice for Mechanical systems.


Responsibilities include:

  1. Reviewing and developing the quality of service at an operational level.
  2. Controlling expenditure as delegated by the Contract Manager.
  3. Positively managing relationships with stakeholders and Trust representatives to enhance perception of service provision.
  4. Preparing estimates for new works and providing support as required for projects.
  5. Participating as a member of the Estates Team by achieving Authorised Person (AP) status in various disciplines as directed by Senior Management.
  6. Participating in the 'on call' rota as required, after appropriate training and experience.

  6. On Call fee of circa £1,250 per annum.

AP Duties required include Ventilation AP, Medical AP, Pressure Systems AP & Water AP. Allowance is paid for each AP duty. The client will invest and pay for the courses, and then pay the AP allowances throughout the year. 4 x AP's duties = £10,800.


Once courses are complete and you are appointed, you will be paid the allowances.
