Job summary

B&B Construction Recruitment Ltd is recruiting on behalf of a well-established London-based fit-out contractor to appoint an experienced Technical Services Manager. You will lead M&E coordination across commercial fit-out projects, from pre-construction through commissioning and handover, and work closely with the project team, consultants and specialist subcontractors.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience as Technical Services Manager or similar.
• Strong commercial fit-out experience.
• Deep understanding of mechanical and electrical services.
• Experience handing projects from design through handover.

Responsibilities

• Manage M&E services across fit-out projects from design through to completion.
• Coordinate mechanical and electrical subcontractors to ensure integration.
• Review drawings, technical submissions and design information.
• Manage RFIs, variations and technical queries.
• Oversee commissioning, testing and handover.
• Monitor programme, quality and progress of building services.
• Work closely with Project Managers, Site Managers and Design Managers.
• Attend client, consultant and subcontractor meetings.
• Ensure M&E installations are delivered in line with programme and specification.
• Identify and resolve design clashes and coordination issues.

Job description

We are currently working with a well-established fit-out contractor that is looking to appoint an experienced Technical Services Manager to support the delivery of commercial fit-out projects across London.

The successful candidate will take responsibility for the management and coordination of all M&E / technical services from pre-construction through to commissioning and handover, working closely with the project team, consultants and specialist subcontractors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage M&E services across fit-out projects from design through to completion
• Coordinate mechanical and electrical subcontractors
• Review drawings, technical submissions and design information
• Manage RFIs, variations and technical queries

Requirements:

• Previous experience working as a Technical Services Manager, M&E Manager or Building Services Manager
• Strong commercial fit-out experience
• Good understanding of both mechanical and electrical services
• Experience managing projects through design, installation, commissioning and handover
• Strong subcontractor management and coordination skills
• Comfortable working in a client-facing environment
• Main contractor or fit-out contractor experience preferred
