Job summary

CSC Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Freelance Technical Services Manager to lead all M&E packages on a £15m Cat B commercial fit-out near Crawley. You will oversee design development, procurement and handover, working with the client MEP team and subcontractors to meet programme and quality targets.

The role requires a minimum of five years' experience on commercial fit-out projects, strong M&E knowledge, and proven leadership.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering commercial Cat B office fit out projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of all mechanical and electrical (M&E) packages on a £15m commercial fit out project.
• Manage the client MEP team, stakeholder expectations and technical requirements.
• Manage M&E subcontractors, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with programme and quality requirements.
• Assist with MEP design development, technical reviews, design coordination and the resolution of technical queries.
• Oversee MEP procurement, subcontractor appointments, package scopes and material lead times.
• Reviewing and managing M&E cost plans, budgets, variations and commercial performance.
• Developing, monitoring and coordinating MEP programmes in line with the overall construction programme.
• Coordinating mechanical and electrical services with architectural, structural and wider construction packages.
• Identifying design clashes, technical risks and programme constraints, implementing solutions to maintain progress.
• Monitoring installation quality, commissioning activities, testing, snagging and final handover.
• Working closely with the Project Manager, Construction Manager and wider site team to ensure successful project delivery.
• Providing technical leadership and maintaining clear communication between the client, consultants, subcontractors and site teams.

We are currently seeking an experienced Freelance Technical Services Manager to join an established project team delivering a £15m commercial Cat B fit out project near Crawley.

This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong Technical Services Manager to take the lead on all M&E services, overseeing the full process from design development and procurement through to installation, commissioning and final handover.

You will be the lead Technical Services Manager on the project, working closely with the wider construction team, client MEP team and specialist M&E subcontractors to ensure the successful delivery of all mechanical and electrical packages.

The successful candidate must have a proven track record delivering Cat B commercial fit out projects and live within a commutable distance of Crawley.

The Role
