Job Family: Group Security

As the Technical Systems & Security Projects Manager, you will be part of the Group Security Operations team, responsible for managing technical security systems at all Johnson Matthey facilities worldwide. Your role includes establishing maintenance contracts through a robust supplier selection process, contracting, and managing supplier relationships. You will oversee assigned projects, installations, and maintenance for security systems globally, including capital projects for new builds and equipment replacements on established sites.

This role ensures projects are developed, implemented, and managed in accordance with safety, quality, management, and financial standards to keep Johnson Matthey safe and secure.

Your responsibilities:
  • Maintain the five-year equipment replacement schedule for security systems.
  • Liaise with Procurement, Legal, and Security stakeholders across countries for effective supplier management.
  • Manage vendor relations, contractual agreements, KPIs, maintenance contracts, and escalation protocols globally.
  • Lead support for technology security solutions from planning to implementation, evaluating and integrating vendor solutions.
  • Oversee governance processes for security expenditure approval in collaboration with finance.
  • Create and maintain documented processes for designing, procuring, installing, and maintaining security systems in partnership with JM IT.
Requirements for the role:
  • Vocational qualifications such as: ASIS PSP, CSPM, Prince2, PMP
  • Recognized qualifications in Security or Business Management at degree level or equivalent
  • Experience with physical access control, intrusion detection, video management, PSIM, and architecture
  • Detailed knowledge of security systems like HID, Genetec, Mercury, Axis, Ibex Gallagher, Milestone, Optex, Exacqvision, Kaba, Magnetic, Gunnebo, etc.
  • Working knowledge of LAN/WAN, Intranet/Internet, Firewalls, and strong EHS knowledge, ideally IOSH or NEBOSH certified
  • Vendor and project management experience, capable of leading projects with clear objectives and planning
Special factors:
  • Travel: 20% local travel; beyond local travel may be required occasionally
