Job summary

Pirtek UK Ltd. is seeking a technically credible, commercially minded Technical Sales Manager to join our Technical Services team in the UK with hybrid working options.

The role focuses on developing opportunities beyond our core hose replacement service, supporting customers and Pirtek centres with a broader range of technical engineering solutions. You will handle hydraulic system design, upgrades, troubleshooting, service contracts, and preventative maintenance programmes while building

• Proven experience in technical sales, ideally in hydraulics or engineering sectors.
• Strong customer-facing, proposal-building and solution-selling abilities.
• Demonstrated ability to manage accounts and develop new opportunities across the UK.

Responsibilities

• Identify and develop technical sales opportunities beyond hose replacement.
• Develop and maintain key customer accounts across the UK.
• Support centres with complex technical enquiries and site visits.
• Prepare technical and commercial proposals for customers.
• Lead projects from initial enquiry to delivery and handover.

We’re looking for an experienced and commercially driven Technical Sales Manager to join Pirtek’s Technical Services team.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the continued development of Pirtek’s technical engineering offering, working alongside our network of centres to identify, develop and convert new opportunities across the UK.

The Role

The Technical Sales Manager will focus on developing opportunities that extend beyond our core hydraulic hose replacement service, supporting customers and the Pirtek network with a broader range of technical and engineering solutions.

Key areas will include:

• Hydraulic system design, upgrades and troubleshooting
• Hydraulic power units and bespoke engineering solutions
• Hydraulic cylinders, pumps and motors
• Accumulator inspection, servicing and charging
• Oil analysis, filtration and fluid management
• System flushing and contamination control
• Total Hose Management (THM)
• Hose testing, pressure testing and specialist hose applications
• Pneumatics and compressed-air solutions
• Mobile plant and commercial vehicle air conditioning
• Technical service contracts and preventative maintenance programmes

• Identify new technical sales opportunities
• Develop existing customer accounts
• Support centres with larger or more complex technical enquiries
• Carry out customer and site visits
• Help scope and develop engineering solutions
• Prepare technical and commercial proposals
• Support major projects from initial enquiry through to delivery
• Develop long-term service and maintenance opportunities
• Help introduce new technical services across the Pirtek network
• Build strong relationships with key customers and strategic suppliers
