Job summary

Diamond Search Recruitment Ltd represents a market-leading manufacturer seeking a Technical Sales Executive in Ashford, Kent. You will manage a pipeline of 30-50 qualified opportunities monthly, engaging via telephone and video to understand goals and offer manufacturing solutions.

You'll use internal pricing systems to prepare proposals, discuss options, and guide customers toward manufacturing orders. This is a consultative, non cold-calling role with clear progression and a strong commission

Qualifications

• Previous experience in Sales, Business Development, Account Management or another customer-facing commercial role.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong negotiation and relationship-building abilities.
• Good mathematical and analytical skills.
• Strong IT skills and the ability to learn specialist software.
• Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Manage a pipeline of 30-50 qualified customer opportunities each month.
• Conduct regular telephone and video consultations with prospective customers.
• Build rapport and develop trusted relationships throughout the sales process.
• Understand customer requirements, budgets and commercial objectives.
• Provide consultative advice to help customers develop commercially viable products.
• Prepare and present manufacturing quotations using internal pricing systems.
• Explain commercial options including ingredients, packaging, product formats and order quantities.
• Liaise with internal departments to identify practical manufacturing solutions.
• Maintain accurate records and consistent follow-up throughout the sales cycle.
• Convert qualified opportunities into confirmed manufacturing orders.
