Job summary

Mercury-Hampton-Ltd in the United Kingdom is seeking a Technical Sales Engineer to support customers across the UK on pumps, valves and flow control solutions. You will evaluate enquiries, prepare technical and commercial quotations, and work with internal teams to ensure accurate, timely responses.

The role requires interpreting specifications, advising on suitable products and maintaining high customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Experience in quotation, technical sales, bid or tendering in engineering.
• Ability to interpret technical specifications and customer requirements.
• Knowledge of valves, flow control, pumps or industrial equipment desired.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Commercial awareness and customer-focused approach.
• ERP systems such as SAP experience beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate customer enquiries and prepare accurate technical and commercial quotations.
• Work with customers, external sales teams and internal departments to process enquiries.
• Review customer specifications, select suitable products and prepare quotations.
• Liaise with engineering, production and supply chain to meet requirements.
• Support the conversion of enquiries into orders and provide technical support.
• Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction in a UK-wide role.
