Job summary

Ernest Gordon Recruitment has a Hybrid role for a Technical Sales Engineer (Machine Tools) based near Peterborough, with regional travel and work-from-home options. The role involves leading machine tooling projects and growing key customer relationships for a well-established manufacturer.

You will work closely with clients to understand requirements, provide quotations and engineering advice, and coordinate with manufacturing and leadership teams through the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Experience in technical sales or production engineering for machine tools or precision engineering.
• Ability to provide quotations and technical advice to clients.
• Willingness to travel regionally with hybrid (home/office) working pattern.

Responsibilities

• Work with customers to understand project requirements.
• Provide quotations, engineering advice and support.
• Liaise with manufacturing teams, senior leadership and customers throughout project lifecycle.
• Undertake cold calling and outreach to previous clients and associated sales approaches.
• Hybrid role with regular client visitation.
