Location: West Sussex Office

Basic Salary: £30,000 - £50,000 (DOE) + company performance related bonus

The role of the Technical Sales Support Specialist – Pipeline Products involves:

  1. Technical Sales Engineer dealing with a range of manufactured plastic pipeline products such as barrier fittings, pushfit fittings, mechanical fittings, electrofusion fittings, mechanical saddles, and spigots
  2. Selling into builders merchants, plumbers merchants, main contractors, sub-contractors, and end users
  3. Primarily a telephone-based role acting as the technical arm to the internal and external sales teams
  4. Proactively handling enquiries passed by the sales teams
  5. Extensive liaising with customers to understand their requirements
  6. Offering technical advice on suitable products, upselling, and cross-selling where appropriate
  7. Developing long-term client relationships by managing and interpreting their needs
  8. Staying updated with the full product range to provide accurate technical solutions

The ideal candidate will have:

  1. Experience as a Technical Sales Engineer – Pipeline Products with a technical background in pipework, drainage, civils, groundworks, landscaping, or related industries
  2. Experience in back selling through builders or plumbers merchants is highly advantageous
  3. Knowledge of products like above ground drainage, water supply systems, valves, pumps, fittings, sanitary ware, PVC soil & waste drainage, rainwater harvesting, heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and water management solutions is beneficial but not essential
  4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  5. IT literacy (Microsoft Office)
