Job summary

Protea Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Technical Manager for a fast-paced food manufacturing business. You will lead the technical and quality teams, drive HACCP and BRCGS compliance, and partner with production and suppliers to safeguard product quality and safety.

You will report to the Operations Director, shape technical strategy, and ensure audits, traceability, and documentation are managed to the highest standards.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a senior technical or quality leadership role within food manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of HACCP, BRCGS, and food safety standards.
• Excellent leadership and people management skills.
• Analytical and proactive problem-solving abilities.
• Effective communication across all levels.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and data management systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical and quality teams to deliver compliance and excellence.
• Oversee HACCP, BRCGS, and food safety standards.
• Plan site audits and ensure successful outcomes.
• Analyse data to identify trends and root causes.
