Job summary

New Appointments Group is seeking a Senior Technical Coordinator to join an established development business, working across residential and mixed-use projects in Kent.

You will support planning applications, coordinate civil engineering, highways, drainage and utilities, manage external consultants, and contribute to budgets and programmes across the development lifecycle.

Qualifications

  • Experience in residential development, housebuilding, construction or civil engineering.
  • Experience as Technical Coordinator, Senior Technical Coordinator, Technical Manager, Engineering Manager or Civil Engineering Project Manager.
  • HNC/HND/BTEC qualifications in Civil Engineering, Construction or Building Studies would be advantageous; AutoCAD experience is beneficial.

Responsibilities

  • Technical due diligence and development feasibility.
  • Coordinate civil engineering, highways, drainage, utilities and structural disciplines.
  • Manage external consultants and design teams.
  • Support planning applications and technical approvals.
  • Manage S38, S104, S278 and S106 requirements.
  • Review engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Input into budgets, programmes and development appraisals.
  • Support value engineering and viable technical solutions.
  • Resolve technical issues through construction and completion.

Senior Technical Coordinator – Residential & Mixed-Use Development

We’re recruiting for a Senior Technical Coordinator to join an established development business, working across residential and mixed-use development projects.

This is a varied technical role working closely with the Technical Director, providing input from initial land acquisition and technical due diligence through planning, design, infrastructure delivery and construction.

The role will involve:
  • Technical due diligence and development feasibility
  • Identifying infrastructure constraints, abnormal costs and technical risks
  • Coordinating civil engineering, highways, drainage, utilities and structural disciplines
  • Managing external consultants and design teams
  • Supporting planning applications and technical approvals
  • Managing S38, S104, S278 and S106 requirements
  • Reviewing technical drawings, specifications and engineering information
  • Providing technical input into budgets, programmes and development appraisals
  • Supporting value engineering and commercially viable technical solutions
  • Resolving technical issues through construction and completion
About you

We’re looking for someone with experience withinresidential development, housebuilding, construction, civil engineering or a related technical environment.

You may currently be working as a Technical Coordinator, Senior Technical Coordinator, Technical Manager, Engineering Manager, Development Manager or Civil Engineering Project Manager.

Experience of residential/mixed-use development, infrastructure, highways, drainage, utilities and technical approvals would be particularly relevant.

Relevant HNC/HND/BTEC qualifications in Civil Engineering, Construction or Building Studies would be advantageous, together with AutoCAD experience.
