Job summary

Cranleigh STEM is seeking an experienced Technical Project Buyer to help turn engineering designs into real, working equipment. You’ll work directly with engineers to understand technical requirements, review drawings and specifications, and identify suppliers capable of delivering complex, bespoke equipment.

This isn’t a transactional purchasing role. You’ll take ownership of sourcing strategies, RFQs and supplier negotiations, ensure on-time delivery, and help develop procurement processes to

Qualifications

• Background in technical procurement within engineering or manufacturing.
• Comfortable interpreting engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Experience supporting new product introductions or complex engineering projects.

Responsibilities

• Work with engineers to understand technical requirements and review drawings and specifications.
• Own sourcing strategies, RFQs, supplier negotiations and delivery.
