Job summary

H-Power is seeking a Technical Project Buyer to turn engineering designs into real, working equipment. You’ll work directly with engineers to understand technical requirements, review drawings and specifications, challenge decisions and identify suppliers capable of delivering complex, bespoke equipment.

This role focuses on strategic procurement, not transactional buying—leading RFQs, supplier negotiations and delivery, while developing robust procurement processes for future products.

Qualifications

• Background in technical procurement within engineering or manufacturing.
• Comfort interpreting engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Experience supporting new product introduction, capital equipment, or complex engineering projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop sourcing strategies and manage supplier qualifications.
• Run RFQs, negotiate with suppliers, and manage delivery to project milestones.
• Collaborate with engineers to convert designs into purchasable components.
• Help develop procurement processes to support future products.
