Job summary

Trainline plc is seeking a Technical Programme Manager to coordinate delivery across Core Tech teams including Workplace IT, Cyber Security, Production Operations, and Developer Experience. This hands‑on role focuses on keeping plans, dependencies and risks visible and resolved through close collaboration with engineers and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering complex programmes in software or technology environments.
• Experience working with engineering, security, or infrastructure teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with stakeholders at all levels.
• Ability to build networks and drive cross-team collaboration.
• Comfort with agile ways of working and bias toward action.
• Familiarity with Jira/Confluence and certifications is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary programme lead for the Core Tech cross‑departmental programme, including roadmap, milestones, dependencies and risks.
• Coordinate cadences, artefacts and relationships to align backlogs into a single programme.
• Plan and coordinate complex, cross‑functional technical programmes with clear milestones and timelines.
• Run operating rhythms like stand-ups, planning, reviews and retrospectives for agile teams.
• Engage with engineers and leaders to understand trade‑offs and unblocked work quickly.
• Communicate status, risks and decisions clearly to engineers and senior stakeholders.
• Contribute to lightweight artefacts such as roadmaps, RAID logs and dependency maps.
