Job summary

NeuronInnovations in the United Kingdom is hiring a Technical Programme Manager to steer complex airborne, C2 and AI-enabled projects. You will own programme delivery from requirements through trials, coordinate with partners and funders, and be onsite for key deployments.

The role is UK-based in a hybrid setup with regular travel to Cornwall, West Wales, Kent and Northumberland. Expect £80,000-£90,000 plus share options and a strong path to leadership within a fast-growing team.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or equivalent required.
• Strong delivery experience across multi-stakeholder programmes.
• Proven ability to lead technical delivery in complex environments.

Responsibilities

• Own and deliver programmes with partners including UAS, airport, defence users, CAA and ESA.
• Write and review requirements, test plans and reports with engineers.
• Translate requirements into engineering priorities and acceptance criteria.
• Plan and run trials and installations with partners and contractors, onsite during deployments.

Therole

YouwillmakesuretheprogrammesthatputNeuronintorealairspaceanddefenceoperationsaredeliveredcorrectlyandontime:counter-drone(counter-UAS)systemsataregionalairport,ground-baseddetect-and-avoidfordrones,anassuredsurveillancecoordinationservicefortheCAA,distributedacousticdronedetectionfortheEuropeanSpaceAgency,anddeploymentsfordefenceandUASoperators.Eachoneconnectssensors,C2systemsandAIagentsacrossorganisations,andeachonehastoworkinthefield.Thisisahands-onroleforanengineerwhohasmovedintodelivery.Weareasmallteam,soyouruntheprogrammesandalsodorealtechnicalwork:youwriteandreviewrequirements,testplansandreports,runthetechnicalreviews,getintothedetailwithourengineersandpartners,andareonsitefortrials.OurSystemsandAssuranceEngineerleadsrequirementsandassurance,andourProductEngineerleadstheproduct.Youowndelivery,socustomers,partnersandtheteamcometoyoufirst.

Whatyou'lldo

• Runeveryprogrammewithitspartners(UASoperators,anairport,asensormanufacturer,defenceusers,theCAAandESA):plans,milestones,risks,dependencies,monthlyboardsandchangecontrol.
• Dohands-ontechnicalworkontheprogrammes:writeandreviewrequirements,interfacedocuments,testplansandevaluationreportswithourengineers,andowntheiracceptancebyfunders.
• Turnprogrammerequirementsintoengineeringprioritiesandacceptancecriteriawithourengineeringleads,andspotwhereonesharedcapabilitycanserveseveralprojectsinsteadofbespokeforks.
• Planandruntrialsandinstallationswithourpartnersandourinstallationcontractor:droneflightvalidationinWestWales(MaytoJuly2027)andalivecounter-dronetrialataregionalairport(JulytoSeptember2027).Beonsitewhentheyhappen.
• Bethefirstcontactondeliveryforpartnersandthefunders'monitoringofficers,andleadourSystemsandAssuranceEngineer.
• KeeptheESAcontract'sreviewgatesandourdefenceandcustomerdeploymentsontrack,includingNATOcounter-dronetestandevaluation.
• UseAItoolsandagentstorundeliverywell:automatethetracking,reportinganddocumentationthatwouldotherwiseneedaPMO.
