Job summary

NeuronInnovations in London, UK, is seeking a Systems and Assurance Engineer to own requirements, assurance, and regulation across programmes, ensuring the surveillance coordination service meets regulator standards. You will be the lead on regulation, translating CAA programmes into assured capabilities and coordinating approvals for counter-drone trials.

You will also help answer how organisations can trust sensors, drones, and AI agents in airspace and defence operations, driving end-to-end

Qualifications

• Experience in regulated aerospace or defence projects.
• Ability to produce hazard analyses and safety cases.
• Clear, regulator-accepted technical writing.

Responsibilities

• Write and maintain requirements baselines, COOs, interface control docs, and test/evaluation plans with traceability.
• Lead the assurance work on the CAA airspace modernisation programme including the framework and evaluation reports.
• Build the safety case and CAP3015 evidence for detect-and-avoid integration and approvals route for regional airport trials.
• Manage the specialist assurance subcontractor.
• Check requirements with the Chief Architect before baselining them and shape trust and assurance parts of the protocol spec.
• Review deliverables for regulatory and technical accuracy before they go to funders.

Youownrequirements,assuranceandregulationacrossallourprogrammes,sothatwhatwebuildmeetsitsrequirementsandstandsuptotheregulator.Youareourleadonregulation.ThatmeansturningaCAAprogrammeintoanassuredsurveillancecoordinationservice,makingsureadronedetect-and-avoidintegrationbetweentwopartnersmeetstheassurancestandarditistestedagainst,andsettingtheapprovalsrouteforcounter-dronesystemsataregionalairport.Youwillalsohelpansweroneofthehardestquestionsinautonomy:howoneorganisationcantrustanother'ssensors,dronesandAIagentsenoughtorelyontheminairspaceanddefenceoperations.
