Job summary

Nova Biochem in Nottingham is seeking a Technical Manager to own the planning, coordination and delivery of our R&D and technical development programme. You will bridge the gap between the CEO and the technical team, translating strategic priorities into a structured plan for R&D, process development and scale-up.

Qualifications

• Degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, process engineering or related technical discipline.
• Experience leading technical programmes with limited supervision.
• Strong judgment to review plans and results.

Responsibilities

• Translate company priorities into clear R&D, process development and scale-up plans.
• Own and maintain Nova's technical development plan with priorities, sequencing and resources.
• Coordinate across research, analytics, process operations and engineering to keep progress moving.
• Establish objectives, owners and outcomes for technical activities and review major programmes.
• Plan technical work upfront, identifying equipment, materials, analytics, dependencies and risks.
• Lead prototype campaigns from laboratory scale to TRL5/6 towards industrial demonstration.
