The AGI team is looking for an experienced Technical Program Manager to help us expand our engineering operations that follow the expansion of our customer base. This is a high visibility role that will require working with several engineering teams to help streamline operations and deliver greater experiences to our customers at a high velocity. You will be a point of contact for coordinating large-scale initiatives across the larger Amazon Devices organization. This includes services infrastructure initiatives, programs to increase efficiency & reduce costs, and helping to solve scaling challenges, to name a few.

As a technical program manager, you will be one of the key leaders on the team and have an impact by defining strategy & requirements, developing processes & schedules, and driving forward progress on major initiatives. This will require regular communication with program stakeholders and executives.

Responsibilities

1. Manage multiple competing cross-functional projects/programs simultaneously, some on a global scale
2. Interact with engineers, technicians, project managers, and senior management on a daily basis
3. Run meetings, create and maintain timelines, and keep large, diverse groups informed of progress and obstacles
4. Work with engineers to develop detailed and creative solutions to complex problems, while keeping a watchful eye on timelines and costs
5. Work with software development managers and solution architects to help define the scope of products and enhancements we will be building
6. Ensure consistency in deployed configurations and track exceptions for follow-up

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

1. Experience in technical program management working directly with software engineering teams
2. Experience managing cross-functional programs and release schedules
3. Experience building and evaluating system-level technical design
4. Experience developing and executing/delivering product and technical roadmaps
5. Experience managing technical programs across cross-functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
6. Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
7. Experience working directly with engineering teams
8. Experience in system design

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

1. Experience in project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management
2. Experience managing projects across cross-functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
3. Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership
