Job summary

DeepMind in London is seeking a Technical Program Manager focused on responsibility and AI safety across multi-disciplinary engineering teams. You will plan requirements with internal customers and shepherd projects through full lifecycles, communicating risks to stakeholders and executives.

You will work with engineers, SMEs, and PMs to translate safety requirements into measurable goals, guiding strategic planning and resource allocation while driving collaboration and process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical/scientific field or equivalent experience.
• 7 years of experience in technical program management, software engineering, or research engineering.
• 3 years partnering with research or engineering leads to deliver AI/ML programs.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end engineering delivery of AI safety/CBRNE evaluation pipelines and red-teaming across the model lifecycle.
• Translate safety risks into clear engineering goals and allocate compute and resources.
• Build cross-functional partnerships across modeling, infra, evaluation, and release teams.
• Implement OKRs, stand-ups, and agile practices to track progress and mitigate risks.
• Distill complex updates into actionable insights for executives.
