Job summary

ASA Recruitment’s client, a Public Sector organisation in Glasgow (hybrid working), seeks a Technical Product Owner to provide technical leadership and delivery capability for a newly implemented platform supporting legislative and business needs. Initial six-month contract with extensions, rate up to £700/day outside IR35 based on experience.

The role embeds into an existing delivery team, working with the Technical Lead to own architecture, strategy and roadmap, while ensuring stability,

Qualifications

• Experienced Technical Product Owner with strong leadership and delivery capability.
• Proficient in AWS architectures, IaC and Kubernetes (AWS EKS).
• Knowledge of MySQL-compatible databases (MySQL/RDS/Aurora/MariaDB).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tooling (Helm, Terragrunt, Git, ArgoCD).
• Familiar with Government Cloud Security standards (NIST/OWASP/CIS/NCSC).
• Proficient in Bash and Python; RESTful microservices; ITSM processes.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and ownership within a delivery team.
• Lead design, implementation, administration and support of infrastructure solutions.
• Advise on future tech changes and opportunities for the product.
• Interact with code and contribute to scripting and automation.
• Drive data-driven decision making and stakeholder communication.
• Collaborate on strategy, roadmaps and cross-government communities.
