Job summary

ASA Recruitment’s client, a Public Sector organisation in Edinburgh, is recruiting 2x Cyber Security Specialists on a hybrid/remote basis for an initial 12-month contract at around £550 per day, outside IR35.

You will join the cyber security team to advise on digital transformation projects, cover cyber security and risk across the service lifecycle, and work in an agile environment with internal colleagues and suppliers.

Qualifications

• Security risk assessment experience.
• Experience working in Agile project teams with internal colleagues and suppliers.
• Ability to own security aspects from start to finish.

Responsibilities

• Be aware of current cyber threat landscape and industry best practices.
• Support initial scoping and risk assessment of changes.
• Interpret security requirements to determine controls for projects.
• Adapt cyber security standards to fit changes.
• Carry out threat modelling and risk assessments.
• Review designs drafted by solution architects.
• Maintain security design assessment for new services.
• Carry out basic security assessments (SSL Labs/CSP eval).
• Plan and coordinate independent pen testing.
• Provide recommendations for SecOps processes.
