Technical Process Manager - Food Manufacturing

~70% strategic and documentation/oversight

~30% hands-on floor presence and troubleshooting

You'll be equally confident writing SOPs, conducting site audits, supporting staff

training, and handling EHO/Defra visits.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure full regulatory compliance for both pet and human food legislation

• Own HACCP, VACCP, TACCP, and allergen management systems

• Maintain and audit SOPs, risk assessments, and cleaning documentation

• Drive improvements in food safety, hygiene, and traceability

• Lead site Health & Safety system management and improvements

• Act as primary contact for FSA, Defra, APHA, EHO, and external audits

• Champion a proactive food safety and safety-first culture across teams

• Deliver training and mentoring for team leads and operatives

What You’ll Bring

• Proven experience in food manufacturing compliance (human and/or pet

food)

• Understanding of human food standards (BRCGS, HACCP, Food Hygiene

Regs)

• NEBOSH, IOSH or equivalent Health & Safety qualification

• Strong analytical, documentation, and training skills

• Confidence liaising with auditors and regulatory authorities

• Collaborative, hands-on approach — equally at home in audits or on the line
