Job summary
Powys County Council seeks an Environmental Health Officer to assist in the Environmental Protection Section. Responsibilities include water sampling and providing public health advice. About the role:
To assist the Senior Environmental Health Officer in the effective and efficient
operation of the Environmental Protection Section within the policies, procedures and objectives of the Council. Sampling private water supplies and cemetery management and administration.
About you:
Be a good oral communicator, orally and in writing.
Work independently and as part of a team
Work with minimal supervision
The ability to travel around the county
Be competent in the use of information technology
What you will do:
Arranging and collecting water samples
Providing public health advice to the the public in relation to private water supplies
Assist in the day to day operation of the cemetery service
Arrange Public Health funerals
