Technical Motor Underwriter - Salary is Competitive

We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Technical Motor Underwriter to join the UK Commercial Solutions Team. This role supports trading teams at the UK level, developing and implementing solutions for complex cases and risk profiles.

This position is ideal for someone with high underwriting authority eager to expand their knowledge and segment specialisms, maximizing opportunities through market-leading propositions and solutions for individual cases and blocks of business, working closely with the Trading and Broker Performance Team.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Assist with underwriting strategy, principles, best practices, and processes.
2. Lead the development of open market propositions for the Mid-Market commercial segment.
3. Develop and lead strong Commercial Motor Underwriting capabilities within trading teams.
4. Monitor and analyze performance of the Mid Market Commercial Motor Segment to support SME planning and performance, linking with the CUO Team.
5. Build expertise and knowledge across the Commercial Motor Sector.

Skills and Experience:

1. Experienced Commercial Motor Underwriter with high underwriting authority, seeking to develop further across Property and Liability classes to complement existing expertise.
2. Understanding of performance issues at the segment level for Mid-Market, Scheme, and Small Commercial Business, capable of directing actions and identifying opportunities or threats.
3. Strong commercial acumen for building and delivering business cases.
4. Proven leadership and mentoring skills within a large, sophisticated organization.
5. Good knowledge of risk management applicable to the Commercial Motor Segment within Mid-Market.
